FAQ

In BC, you do not need a doctor’s referral to see a registered physiotherapist. However, some insurance companies and benefit plans may require a letter from your doctor. If this is the case, you are still able to begin treatment before you obtain your referral.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any further questions or need assistance.
YES WE DO! At Next Step we try to take the added stress of billing off your hands. We bill directly to most insurers. Please feel free to contact us to inquire about yours.

For companies that do not allow us to bill directly, we always provide a detailed receipt with all the information required for you to submit to your insurance provider.
Unfortunately, Next Step Physiotherapy is not currently taking any WCB or ICBC claims.
We typically suggest wearing comfortable clothes which allow the therapist access to your area of concern. Shorts are appropriate for assessing and treating hips, knees, and ankles. A t-shirt would be suitable for assessing and treating shoulders, elbows, and wrists.
Absolutely! You always have the right to choose what clinic you go to and which therapist you see.
